I’m From Ginseng Mask is one of the most unique wash-off masks, as very few wash-off masks/massage masks have a high concentration of ginseng in them. This mask provides skin nourishment while deep cleaning the pores and also getting rid of dead skin cells very gently. The warming effect from this mask improves the blood circulation on the face, open up the pores and help with the skin detoxification.
So, if you are in search of a mask that works like a clay mask but without causing skin dryness, this post is for you!
I’m from Ginseng Mask is suitable for all skin types and for all seasons, preferably for the age above 16 years.
In case you have severe flared up acne or undergoing any acne treatment, you may want to stay away from this mask. Also, this might not be the mask for skin with sensitivity towards heating products.
Ingredients List and CosDNA Analysis:
The mask has similar ingredients as that of the Ginseng Serum from the same brand, but the ginseng concentration has been reduced to 3.97%.
How to use:
After cleansing, apply the I’m from ginseng mask on damp skin, massage for 5-10 mins and rinse with plain water, preferably cold water to close the open pores.
I usually massage the mask for 2-3 mins and leave it on for some 5 mins and rinse with cold water. Why? Because I don’t have the patience to massage my face for 10 mins. LOL!
The mask feels warm on the skin upon application, which is absolutely normal. This improves the blood circulation on face skin and pulls out the impurities from the skin.
This mask can be used 1-4 times a week.
I’m from Ginseng Mask comes a heavy glass packing with a plastic cap. I wish it came in a tube type of packaging for easy application but I am sure this won’t be feasible with the formulation of the product.
Expiry: 12 months after opening
Quantity: 120 gm.
Price: I bought I’m From Ginseng Mask during the Wishtrend (Limited countries Shipment) black Friday sale for an amount of $22. You can also buy it from the following website:
Consistency/ Texture / fragrance:
I’m from ginseng mask has a thick consistency like raw honey, but on the application, it applies easily without any tugging on the skin.
Just like the Ginseng Serum, this too has an added floral fragrance. I wish it was a bit subtle.
This mask is about to hit the base, I must say that I enjoyed every bit of it. Initially, I couldn’t understand if it did anything for my skin, but as I used it more and more, I found that my skin gradually improved. It made my skin smooth, soft and bit bright too. It gives that healthy translucent effect on the skin.
I am someone who is not a big fan of the wash-off masks, I do like to use clay mask at a time but prefer sheet mask for skin hydration and nourishment! I can now proudly say that I have found a mask that works as a sheet mask but with zero wastage.
Since they have used ginseng as the main ingredient, I do get asked if it works on fine lines, wrinkles or does it firm the skin? My answer is NO. Since it’s not a leave-on product nor it has any intensive exfoliation effect on the skin, I don’t expect the mask to work on fine lines, but it does give temporary skin plumping effect.
- It didn’t irritate my dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin.
- With regular use, it made my skin soft, smooth and bright. It has a very very very mild exfoliation effect.
- It doesn’t cause skin dryness.
- An amazing alternative to sheet masks.
- Temporary skin plumping effect. It goes away if I don’t use the mask regularly (2-3 times a week).
- Free from Artificial Colours. The brown colour is from the ginseng.
- Has prominent floral fragrance, not that it’s a bad one, but I wish it was a bit subtle.
Note – Now, one may ask if I’m from “Ginseng Mask” is better or ” ginseng serum“? I will say that even though the ingredients are similar, they work in a different way. The serum is more for skin nourishment whereas the mask is for skin detoxification. Both serum and mask do brighten up the skin a little.
When it comes to my personal preference, I like the serum more, as I see myself using it more often, that is daily and my skin is picky about face oils, so I am only left with gentle skin-nourishing products like I’m from Ginseng serum and Skinfood Royal honey Propolis Essence. For skin detoxification, I have many more options.
Do I recommend it? Yes! I highly recommend it. This is my favourite mask from the “I’m from” Brand. I am yet to try the clay mask & rice mask.
Will I repurchase? Yes, but in the future, since for now, I have a long list of products to test.
