Hello Readers!! For today’s post I am gonna review “Klairs Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil”!! You guys voted for it and here is the review!! Thank you every one of you for taking part in it!! Klairs Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil claims to render more and more skin benefit along with removing skin impurities “gently”!!
It claims to (Ref. taken from wishtrend):
Control the sebum production, increases the skin elasticity and provides a soothing effect with its Black Bean Oil.
Black sesame prevents dehydration and skin aging while providing powerful antioxidant effects.
Black Currant Seed Oil strengthens the skin’s protective layer to prevent the evaporation of moisture from the skin. Also, it promotes skin cell regeneration and provides antioxidant effects by containing various minerals. 😛 Now, this is the part that grabs my attention!
Now will not find it appealing?? Its primarily because of these “Black Ingredients” it gets the name of “Black Deep cleansing oil”!! 😎
Klairs Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil is suitable for normal and combination skin (from my experience!!).
Not Suitable for:
Klairs Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil is a no no for extremely sensitive or acne prone skin.
Ingredients List and CosDNA Analysis:
This cleansing oil surely looks appealing when it comes to description or ingredient list, but when looked closer, it contains three good, but potential skin irritant (Coloured in red)!! So this oil cleanser is either a sure hit or a miss for everyone!! Also, I don’t see much of the hype among the korean skincare users. Why did I even buy it? 🤦 I know the brand “Klairs”!!
From Cosdna Analysis, it does contain few ingredients that can potentially irritate sensitive skin or trigger acne breakouts. So if you are super sensitives to plant oils or undergoing acne treatment, be sure to try out the samples first! 🤞
How to use:
Klairs Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil is used for removing oil based impurities, makeup and sunscreen!! Preferably should be used at Night!
- Use it on dry face.
- Massage gently till makeup starts dissolving!
- Then add a little water to emulsify it!
- Again massage for few seconds.
- Wash off with normal to lukewarm water.
- Follow up with your foaming cleanser.
Klairs Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil comes in a sleek cylindrical plastic pumpable bottle!! It does have a stopper to prevent accidental pumping of product!! The packaging is simple and functional but I will not recommend to travel with it!!

Klairs Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil is thicker than regular cleansing oil. Also, it has unique bouncy oily texture!! It definitely has a body!! It is moderately scented with Floral fresh fragrance!!
I really wanted to like this product, because I had been waiting for a long time to test it out and also because it’s from one of my favourite brand Klairs!! (I am now realizing that when you are unable to get your hands on any product for whatsoever reason, it’s a sign that it’s not for you!! Have quite a bit of such experiences!! 😑).
When I was using it, in the beginning, there was no skin irritation, all went well but after using it for some 10 days, I started getting few acne on my cheeks and when I stopped using this oil cleanser, there was no further new breakout! And then I didn’t have the guts to give it another try! So I passed it down to my mom who has oily acne prone skin and it’s working pretty normal on her skin! So I am reviewing this product based on its performance on both “Dry sensitive skin” and “Oily acne-prone skin”.
- Removes every kind of stubborn makeup.
- Has moderate good floral fresh fragrance.
- Does not sting the eyes.
- Easily available.
- The moment the oil touches the skin, it feels cooling and refreshing.
- Takes time to wash off.
- Leaves behind a sticky film of oil, especially when washed with normal to cold water.
- It does not emulsify too much. (I feel that the oil cleanser that emulsifies well, washes away easily without stickiness).
- It can irritate sensitive skin. (I have dry sensitive skin, it kinda broke me out a little but my mom who has oily acne-prone skin didn’t get irritated too much! This is weird! 🙄! This Maybe because she is using stronger foaming cleanser for double cleansing!!).
- It has a thicker consistency! Many of you must be liking that but I don’t like thick heavy thing on my face!!
Do I recommend it? Actually No! It was a bit disappointing for me! If you are eager to buy, please try out the samples first!
Will I repurchase? Sorry, Klairs! I will not!!
I think my mom kinda saved this product! If I had alone used it, I would have rated it only 1 star! I really don’t think that it’s worth the price! It surely does the job of removing every kind of makeup without stinging the eyes but comes with a risk of skin irritation. Also, it can be a bit annoying for a few people (me included) who hates the oil cleanser with thicker consistency!
I am curious if anyone had a similar experience as that of mine! Be sure to share your experience in the comment section below! or was it just me to face the unfair experience with all good looking product! I think I gotta be cautious with anything that says “deep cleansing”. 👺
That’s all Folks!! 😉
