Oil Cleanser/ Balm Cleanser/ Beauty Water

Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water

Hello Readers!! If you are a fan of micellar water or Beauty Water, the word “Cleansing Water” must be familiar to you!! In Kbeauty, these terms are used simultaneously, but of course they do have a minute difference in their Formulation and different usages, which can only be found out by reading the labels on products. Cleaning water can only be used just for removing makeup and not as the replacement of Toner. Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water is a mild Cleansing water, suitable for daily use. It does not promise to provide extra benefit of exfoliation/ Brightening/ Whitening. Its mainly curated to provide cleansing while adding hydration to skin.

I personally enjoy Innisfree Green Tea Line, So I had to try this out!! 😉

Skin Type:

Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water is suitable for all Skin Type. (I am assuming it, as nothing is mentioned on label regarding this).

Not Suitable for:

Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water may not be suitable for anyone allergic to any of its ingredients. Also, whose skin is sensitive to abrasion. The only problem that could occur for an extremely sensitive skin, is the irritation due to abrasion caused by cotton puff (this is my case!! I have no problem with this cleansing water, it’s just that too much of rubbing by cotton puff over a longer period of time, actually dries out my skin extensively, or to be exact I can literally see minute scratches on my skin). 😱

Ingredients List and CosDNA Analysis:

Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water

Apart from regular ingredients which are found in all Innisfree Products, especially the Green Tea Line, Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water contains Green Tea Leaf Extract and Witch Hazel Leaf Extract as an active Ingredients.

Green Tea is my all time favourite antioxidant ingredients, I am enjoying my morning skincare routine with the Innisfree Green Tea line!! The other ingredient, Witch Hazel is new to me, I have heard about it but never incorporated in my skincare routine. Witch Hazel is an excellent antiseptic, controls Oil Balance without over drying skin and it is also provides antioxidant benefit.

The biggest reason to choose not so famous Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water, is that, it is free from Skin Irritating Skin Ingredients (Check the Cosdna Analysis!!). I avoid AHA/ BHA, especially BHA for my skin. My skin goes haywire whenever it comes in contact with BHA and many famous Cleansing water contain Both or at least either one.

How to use:

Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water can be a replacement for your Oil cleanser, because its main function is to remove light makeup. It claims to remove sunscreen, light BB Cream and Light Point Makeup.

I use Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water mostly in my morning routine!! I use it on dry skin, by pressing cotton puff on my skin rather than rubbing!! Then I just wash off with plain water and I am done with the Cleansing!! It actually gives clean smooth surface without drying out skin!!

My Morning Routine!! :

  2. Innisfree the Green Tea Seed Serum.
  3. Innisfree orchid Eye cream.
  4. Innisfree the Green Tea Seed Cream (All Skin Type).

However, I never use it for removing makeup. I have used it here on makeup products just for the demonstration. The products used are:

1.Nykaa So Matte Lipstick
2.NYX Professional Makeup Slide On Pencil
3.Chambor Dazzle Eye Liner Pencil
4.NYX Professional Makeup Epic Ink Liner

Packaging:

Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water comes in a huge Green Transparent bottle!! The bottle is sturdy and is not prone to leakage!! But the size of the bottle can make it difficult to carry around!! (I don’t think this should be a major problem!! Transfer the content to a small container!! May be not, because I tried opening the cap but it didn’t!!).

Dispenser:

The dispensing system of Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water is unique. As you can see in picture below, it does not have a nozzle, like Cleansing oil. The Flip on Cap prevents accidental Pumping and Leakage! You just need to place a cotton puff on it and pump the required quantity.

Expiry Period: Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water has an after opening expiry period of 12 months.

Quantity: Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water comes in huge 300 ml quantity. 🙃

Price: I bought Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water from Nykaa (India only) for Rs. 950.

Consistency/Texture/Fragrance:

Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water is very watery (of course 😛) and can slightly feel oily when touches the skin but after rinsing with water, it’s all squeaky clean. Sorry I couldn’t show consistency with the pictures (thanks to the unique dispensing system 😑). It has no colour and the fragrance is not very strong and is similar to that of Innisfree Green Tea Line Products.

Conclusion:

Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water is a decent Cleansing water for all Skin Type. It is actually affordable and mild when compared to many famous Cleansing Water.

Pros:

  1. Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water is mild.
  2. Works as it claims.
  3. Contains Green Tea (my fav.) and Witch Hazel 🙃
  4. Affordable.
  5. Easily Available.
  6. Leak Proof.
  7. Smells amazingly refreshing.
  8. Does not contain Skin Irritating Ingredients.
  9. Does not sting eyes. (at least not in my case).
  10. Free from exfoliating agent like BHA or AHA. (This might be a requirement for few of you, but personally I feel exfoliating agents shouldn’t be used on daily basis, no matter how normal and stubborn skin you have!! 😎)

Cons:

  1. Not sure if this will 100% workable on stubborn point makeup.

Do I recommend it? Yes!! I do!! Interested in Kbeauty and want to try Cleansing water? Go for this.

Will I repurchase? Yes!! If ever I am planning to use Cleansing Water.

Rating: 4.5/5

I am not a big fan of Cleansing water, because using cotton puffs regularly tugs my skin! But I am glad that I purchased this particular product! I would have given 5 star, but since I am not sure of the workability on Stubborn makeup, I had to reduce it to 4.5!! 😏
