Innisfree Bija Cica Gel

Hello my beloved readers!! I went a little MIA for a while, okay, not a little though! Have been testing out so many products! Found some fabulous one too! Anyways! For todays post I am gonna review Innisfree Bija Cica Gel, another product from my favorite line “Bija Cica” from Innisfree!

Skin Type:

Innisfree Bija Cica gel can be used by anyone, but is more suitable for oily skin and for hot humid summer days! It is a perfect lightweight moisturizer for sensitive or acne prone skin.

Not Suitable for:

Innisfree Bija Cica gel might not be suitable for anyone allergic to its ingredients or in general for dry winter seasons!

Ingredients List and CosDNA Analysis:

The ingredient list speaks it all, why this should be used for sensitive and acne prone skin. Contains all the goodness of centella asiatica (my favourite!! ) and the panthenol to calm down the skin! Plus that Torreya nucifera seed oil helps in treating rising pimple! Even Cosdna Analysis is happy to see such clean simple yet very functional product!!

How to use:

I would say that Innisfree Bija Cica gel is a very versatile product! It can be used for both day and night routine!
  • For oily skin, use it alone at last step of your routine.
  • For Dry skin, layer it as a treatment product at lotion step, before using a thick moisturiser.
  • Mix a spot treatment product and use it all over face!
  • Store it in a fridge for 1 hour and apply a thick layer as sleeping mask to treat the irritated skin.
  • My favourite spot treatment products to use with it are
    1. Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream
    2. Klairs Blue cream

Packaging:

The packaging of Innisfree Bija Cica gel is very very similar to Bija cica balm! One can actually get confuse between the two! The gel one has a blue color nozzle and a transparent cap! These 2 are the only difference! I like the fact that it comes in a convenient and  hygienic tube form!
major noticeable difference
Expiry Period: Innisfree Bija Cica Gel has an after opening expiry period of 12 months. Quantity: Innisfree Bija Cica Gel comes in only 40 ml quantity. Price: I purchased my Innisfree Bija Cica Gel from Nykaa (India only) for $24, but I am glad that it is easily available on many korean websites, that too at a good discount value. I am linking few below: Stylekorean.com cosmetic-love.com

Consistency/Texture/Fragrance:

The consistency of Innisfree Bija Cica Gel is like any other gel cream, or even more watery! It is absolutely fragrance free!

Absorbability:

Innisfree Bija Cica gel gets absorbed instantly, without any stickiness!! A huge plus point for oily skin.
It feels like applying an essence!!

Sets to matte fresh finish

Conclusion:

Just like bija cica balm, I simply love this product, mainly because of its versatility to mix it up with my favourite spot treatment products! The product is almost an empty now, so my thoughts are a final one! Pros:
  1. Fragrance Free
  2. Paraben free
  3. Calm down the irritated angry skin.
  4. Great moisturizer for hot humid season.
  5. Alcohol Free. (very few lightweight moisturisers are alcohol free).
  6. A very multipurpose product.
  7. PEG free.
  8. Suitable for acne prone skin and sensitive skin.
Cons:
  1. Not sufficiently moisturizing enough even for oily skin during winter.
Do I recommend it? yes, yes! especially to oily skin! This comes with so many additional benefits without choking the oily skin. Will I repurchase? Yes, but later, after I finish my huge stash of creams.

Rating:4.5/5

Overall, this is a great product in a category of Centella enriched products. Unlike many products, this contains centella derivatives at top of the ingredients list! That a good thing! That’s all for this post! So what’s your favourite centella product? Thank You so much for reading.
