Emulsion/ Lotion/ Cream

Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream

Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream is a highly concentrated cream with main ingredient being a centella asiatica and a zinc oxide. Centella Asiatica as I have previously discussed in one of my old post is a very popular ingredient in korean skincare product after snail mucin extract. Centella is helpful in treating rising acne or irritated skin! Any Skincare product for sensitive or acne prone skin, will definitely have centella as an active ingredient. Cosrx is few among those brands which launched a dedicated line with centella as a primary ingredient.

Wondering if this is needed? or is it too little in quantity to invest? Read along!!

Skin Type:

Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream is suitable for every skin types. It is a must have for those who often get random zits or irritation on skin.

Not Suitable for:

Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream is not suitable for anyone allergic to the ingredients used in it. Also, if the skin is severely acne prone or allergic to oils, do check ingredients properly, because it does contain few oils.

Ingredients List and CosDNA Analysis:

Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream

As from Cosdna Analysis, it contains only very few base chemical ingredients that could rarely irritate skin. It mostly comprises of many anti-inflammatory ingredients for healing of blemishes and breakout. What more do you expect from the SOS product. I love it for everything it has!! 😍

How to use:

Use Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream at the last step of skincare routine on irritated skin or apply a thick layer on acne or a zit to calm it down.

Tip: You can mix it with your moisturizing Emulsion or Lotion to use it on full face! I have used it by mixing a little with Cosrx Ultra Moisturizing Lotion.

If the skin is severely irritated it’s better to use the entire centella asiatica line as per the Cosrx suggestion:

  • For Oily Skin:

Cosrx Centella Water Alcohol free Toner > Cosrx Centella Blemish Ampule > Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream

  • For Normal, Dry and Combination Skin, include snail line for extra nourishment and skin treatment:

Cosrx Centella Water Alcohol free Toner > Cosrx Snail 96 Essence > Cosrx Centella Blemish Ampule > Cosrx Snail 92 All in one cream > Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream

There you go, a very functional skincare routine is created!! 😍

Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream comes in a really small compact tub type packaging. Just like every cosrx product, this also has a small plastic reusable inner lid. I really like it’s small and functional packaging! Fits everywhere!

The lid is stuck to the cap! I think there was also a small spatula, but it was too big to fit inside.

Expiry Period: Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream has an after opening expiry period of 12 months.

Quantity: Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream comes in only 30 gm quantity.

Price: Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream is easily available on many online korean store for a price range from $10 to $16  depending on discount available.

Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream is thick in consistency but is slightly gritty in texture (like a powder mixed in a cream), and it runs smoothly on skin. It can leave behind white cast if used in excess on dry skin. So, it is desirable to use it at night time on a spot or a particular part of skin.

It is mostly fragrance free, but it has a slight hint of tea tree oil fragrance.

Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream
Looks like a common cream…..but

Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream
this is what I was trying to explain, a texture of powder mixed in cream…

Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream
It does blend in smoothly if used in right quantity! Remind you its not a moisturizer, and that’s why it comes in a 30 gm quantity only.

This is my favourite SOS product or a spot treatment product! Yes! I did mention in one of my older post that Klairs midnight blue cream is really good, and I still stand by it. Klairs blue cream mostly work for skin redness or skin itchiness, so I have used it by mixing in my Cosrx Ultra Moisturizing lotion  for skin soothing, and Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream works best for rising pimple and zits.

In conclusion, I enjoy Klairs blue cream for summers and Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream for all year around. I personally enjoy both, but Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream has been more useful to me.

  1. Reduces skin irritation.
  2. Calms rising pimple ( need to be used for multiple nights to settle it fully).
  3. Versatile enough to mix it in any moisturizing Lotion (Don’t mix it with Treatment lotion that contain functional active ingredients like AHA/ BHA/ Vitamin C or similar skin brightening ingredients).
  4. Easily available.
  5. Value for money, when it comes to performance and quantity required each time. I have been using the same jar for almost 6 months now, and still lot is left for next 2-3 months. I use it almost everyday.
  6. Travel friendly.
  7. Has all safe ingredients.
  8. Zero to mild fragrance.

  1. I am not sure if it works on old deep acne scars, but works on superficial scarring.

Do I recommend it? Yes! It a must have SOS product for all skin types. I use it for my dry sensitive skin and even my mom uses it sometime for her extremely oily acne prone skin.

Will I repurchase? Yes! I will!! Unless I find a better alternative.

Rating: 5/5

Yeah!! I kinda ignored that one little drawback, and happily rated 5 stars, because deep scarring and pigmentation can only be reduced via chemical exfoliation or spot treatment recommended by Dermatologist.
