COSRX Centella Blemish Ampoule claims to contain more than 80% Centella Asiatica Leaf Water, and Centella Asiatica Extract. Also, it prevents further breakout by normalizing sebum production and maintaining your natural skin protective barrier. I like that usage is kept simple and to the point, with no unnecessary multi-functioning property to allure and confuse customer. This is what I like about Cosrx! Simple and to the point!! One Extra information 🤓 that Cosrx as a Brand is a Customer represented Brand and is not a celebrity endorsed Brand!! Yes it is true!! Google it 😇 !!
I have bunch of cosrx products waiting to be reviewed and few are awaited to be opened!! I am excited!! 💃
Skin Type: COSRX Centella Blemish Ampoule is suitable for all skin type and is specially made for sensitive and acne prone Skin.
I have dry and sensitive skin. This works perfectly in controlling the sensitivity of my skin.!!
Skincare Issue: COSRX Centella Blemish Ampoule addresses issues of sensitivity, random irritation on skin and rescues your stressed out skin ( Yes!!, not just you, even your skin can get stressed!!). 🤺. Though nothing is described on body label for reduction of blemishes and acne scars, but the name itself says that it works on blemishes…Centella “Blemish” Ampoule.
Guess what Centella Asiatica is nothing but the “Brahmi”!! Can you believe that!! This awesome thing is also known as “Tiger Herb”. “Brahmi” is such an old ayurveda house name!!
Recently, my skin Oil-water balance was thrown off 😵 (not very extensively though!!) because of the experimentation with different skincare product (Yes, sometime you can get your hands on products that might work against you!! dah!! 😑🤒 ). COSRX Centella Blemish Ampoule saved my skin!! 🙃
Not Suitable for: First of all, the ingredients used are very limited, so chances of skin irritation are reduced and second of all, Centella Asiatica (Wow!! now I can spell and write this word like a pro !! yoo!! You know, we can have tough time with some words!!) is the ingredient made for sensitive skin, but you never know, you might have allergy to centella asiatica or any other ingredients used in the product, so always check the ingredients list before you type those sacred numbers of your Debit/Credit Cards!!!
Ingredients List: (P)
CosDNA: Centella Asiatica is an ancient herb indigenous to Asia, Africa and Australia, later it had spread to many other countries like Philippines, Java and France. Now, it is worldwide known!!
Centella Asiatica aka Indian Pennywort aka Tiger Herb (because wounded tigers were seen rolling on these leaves; no tigers were harm, only saved! in case you were thinking otherwise!! ) aka wild violet (I wonder how it got this name, if you know, then do comment down below) and many more to go, was used for treating many skin diseases, wounds and many more stuffs in the past, and recently from past few years it has gained its lost popularity!!
After Snail Mucin and Aloe vera, Centella Asiatica is most used Ingredient in all Korean Skin Care Products.
Cosdna Analysis shows that it is free from acne triggering or skin irritating ingredients!! Still as I always say, check the ingredients carefully before jumping on to conclusion!!
How to use: COSRX Centella Blemish Ampoule can easily be inculcated to your skincare routine. As for an ampoule it is not very thick, so it is to be used directly after your toner/ First Essence/ First Serum for maximum benefit, even though Ampoule are supposed to be used after Essence and Serum. Remember in multi-layering routine, Consistency of product matters the most (Thinnest to thickest not vice-versa)!!
The suggested use (if you wanna use entire cosrx centella line, yes they have small but dedicated line to centella asiatica):
- Cosrx Centella water Alcohol Free Toner (I am yet to purchase this, 🙁 ); (Centella Asiatica leaves water 10% conc.)
- Cosrx Centella Blemish Ampoule 😀 (Centella leaves water 84.84% conc.)
- Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream (I am using it right now, will post a review some time later) 😀 ; (Centella Asiatica leaves water 50.79 %, Centella Asiatica Extract 5000 ppm ).
Otherwise: (This is how I am using it, as centella Cream is not a moisturizer, and is used for spot treatment only but dry skin demands more)
Mizon water volume Ex First Essence > Cosrx Centella Blemish Ampoule > Cosrx Snail Essence > Innisfree Orchid Eye Cream > Cosrx Snail Cream > Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream (sos)
Packaging and Dispenser:
Cosrx Centella Blemish Ampoule comes in small but heavy (quite heavy for its size) glass container, with a glass dropper (I think it is made of glass only) and a plastic cap on top.
Expiry Period: It does not have any after opening expiry period and after manufacturing expiry period is of 36 months.
Quantity: Cosrx Centella Blemish Ampoule comes in only 20 ml quantity. I know this is too low. If used once daily, (I use it only at night) it will lasts only for 30-40 days, depending on how much you use.
Price: It is quite costly when compared to other Cosrx Items. It comes in somewhere between $18 to $25 on different website, depending on sale. This item is easily sold out!! I had to wait for nearly 2 months before I could order at decent price!!
Indian user can get it at Beauty Barn India.
The consistency is thicker than a toner but thinner than a snail essence, the texture is smooth and ampoule has a greenish colour and it does not have any fragrance. So, it is a yes yes to those who are sensitive to fragrance.
On applying, it absorbs very quickly, it does not provide moisture to dry skin (and it is not suppose to) but leaves skin soft and free from stickiness. So, beauties with oily skin can also enjoy it even during summer. Believe me, your skin will be thankful for using it!! My skin is!!
Do I recommend it? Simple and straightforward Yes! Give it a try!! It is worth trying!!
Will I repurchase? Not now! May be in future as I have many other serums/ Ampoule to try!! But I will sometime in future!!
Conclusion: I have completed more than half of a bottle and I have really enjoyed using it!! This product has seriously saved my skin.
- Did Cosrx Centella Blemish Ampoule controlled sensitivity? Yes!!
- Did Cosrx Centella Blemish Ampoule reduced skin irritation? Yes!!
- Did Cosrx Centella Blemish Ampoule controlled breakouts? Yes!! ( I was not using it for severe acne, this was just a remedy for very small bumps that randomly surface on skin, also I was using it in conjunction with cosrx centella Blemish Cream. In case of severe or painful acne please visit dermatologist, stuffs like this can only help in after treatment maintenance only or for small issues.)
- Did Cosrx Centella Blemish Ampoule aided in fading acne scars? Maybe, a little.
I didn’t find anything bad about this product but still I didn’t give 5 points because for the price paid, the quantity is less and regarding the scar reduction I am not very sure. It might help with that if used for long time consistently but the quantity is so less and also, to get this is very difficult. It gets out of stock very easily!!
Rest I am glad that I purchased this!! If you have used Cosrx Centella Blemish Ampoule do share below in the comment section!! 😄
That’s All Folks!!
