Ingredients List and CosDNA Analysis:
The ingredients list of By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water comprises of amalgam of many anti-inflammatory and skin soothing ingredients. The key ingredient is the Mandelic Acid which is the weakest form of AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) but effective enough to aid exfoliation in most gentle way!

It contains my favourite ingredient “Centella Asiatica Extract (Skin soothing)” along with “Sweet Almond Extract (Skin Nourishing)” and “Licorice Root Extract (Skin brightening)“.

By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water is very watery (of course!!) but does leave behind thin hydration layer on skin. Its one of kind of exfoliator that doesn’t dry out the skin. Trust me! I have possible the most dry skin and I have used it during low humidity days.
It doesn’t have any strong scent but a little smell of almond oil can be found. (This is the closest smell I could describe)!! 👃
By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water does gets absorbed quickly! Sometime, it might feel little sticky initially but the stickiness vanishes after application of rest of the skincare products. It actually helps in better absorption of further products applied!
By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water is my first acid exfoliator, so I will not be able to compare it to any other acid exfoliator! But my skin is very pesky when it comes to exfoliation and Foam cleansing.
First Experience for my dry and sensitive skin:
- Felt slight burning on skin on first application. (Not a painful one)!!
- A little burning even in eyes (on that I used around eyes, it’s just that a little stinging I felt when used on cheeks).
- No skin irritation.
- On the next day I did see small reduction in size of those small bumps on my face.
Experience after two and half months:
- Zero Skin Irritation.
- Mild and effective.
- Does not dry out skin.
- Does work in reducing small acne, bumps and whiteheads. I totally agree with antibacterial benefit.(For severe acne problem, visit dermatologist).
- Soothes skin next day!
- Smoothens out skin.
- Skin looks bright next day.
- Worthy when it comes to performance and longevity.
- Low maintenance when it comes to storage, but keep it away from direct sunlight.
- Travel friendly.
- Suitable for All skin types in all season.
- Availability is an issue, since, it’s a new launch exclusively on wishtrend, it is available only on Wishtrend.com
Do I recommend it? Yes! I do! It’s worth trying!!
Will I repurchase? Yes I will! Because I just can’t experiment with strong acid exfoliators. My skin just can’t tolerate Peeling products, BHA or Glycolic Acid.
By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water totally deserves 5 star rating! I have never used any acid exfoliator, and after fail (literally bad skin reaction) with so many BHA products and peeling products I was too afraid to try it out, but as soon as I saw a lunch on wishtrend, I purchased it, because of my trust with klairs and other products on wishtrend.com.
I am glad that I purchased it! It literally helps in getting rid of those small bumps on face with just few usage. I am actually so damn happy to try out all the launches on Wishtrend this year. My few more favourites are Klairs Blue Drop and Klairs Vitamin E Mask!!
